such a wonderful documentary-like shot, Elaine! love the b/w effect, too …so appropriate and much more dramatic!
Beautiful shot for the (very hard!)theme
Great emotions shown in the excellent b&w shot!
Elaine, this is beautiful and very moving. Can you provide some background information on this “Chinese custom”. What’s the story here?
Thanks for posting this photo – it’s beautiful.

true emotion
Beautiful shot of emotion! Very dramatic.
I wonder what he is praying for because he looks serious. Great photo, Ling. Happy Father’s Day to your hubby.
Very emotional photo indeed. Wonderful photo. Happy weekend Elaine.
awwwhh that is a sweet catch
I like your pictures…you have got the talent for it.
This a touching shot, the sincerity with which he is praying… I too pray: May God answer his prayers.
Interesting facial expressions.
good choice and perfect catch for this week’s theme… mine’s up too hope you can drop by.
What is the plural of “pashmina”?
Is it “pashmini”?
How about “pashminii”?
You captured it well… the subject gets to stand out even he’s in a crowd. I like this!
This stands out for me because it would be very rare to see a person kneeling in prayer in the middle of a busy street scene. Here in the USA, anyway. Great capture, and thanks for dropping by my blog.
