I Spot Sincerity In This Man. With A Touch Of Desperation.
First I just saw he’s expression and I thought he just swallow a lemon But then I saw the incense ( is that the right word?) in he’s hand and I understand that he is praying.
Lovely photo, you capture it perfect.
Something is VERY sour! Happy Sepia Scenes!
Sometimes… there are just no words. I know I shouldn’t laugh, but I can’t help it. His expression just slays me!
Oh, I posted your link BTW.
Maybe this gentleman is thinking so hard that the incense will light on its own. Or he is wishing so hard that his wish will come true!
Sincerity and desperation are perfect adjectives Elaine! I hope his prayers come true. A wonderful portrait shot!
He looks like a very puckered statue! this is a classic!

may he find peace after this prayer. Nice shot, Elaine!
Perfect capture. I wasn’t sure what he was holding, I though maybe sparklers until I read another post.
My first thought was drawing straws and making a face hoping to get the correct sized one.
