Oh my Elaine, you’re early with a delightful RED fire engine for kids to play on. I’ll be introducing you on my RT post this afternoon at 4:45 PM EST. 🙂

Ahhh! This takes me home. I’m traveling on business this week and wish I was at the playground with my children instead. Thanks for taking me home for a moment!

Cute playground! Have not seen such interesting ones near my place.

A playground firetruck is the perfect climbing toy for a little one. Nobody gets hurt falling onto the bed of sand surrounding the ‘truck’. Not like when I was a little kid on the city playgrounds of New York, where the swings, ets. were on top of nice, abrasive asphalt, ensuring scrapes!

We have been using red and yellow as our color scheme in the garden this season. They work very well together with flowers and this shot.

What is more red/ruby than a fire engine? And funnier than the one on the playground for kids?

  25. October 22, 2008 at 12:45 am

Oh! Since I first started the Ruby Tuesday posts, I have been looking for a fire engine!
My dad was a fire fighter for the Canadian Air Force and we were always so proud of him. This November Dad Golden will be 82 years old and he still remembers the good old days of being a fire fighter.
One time he was so embarrassed though when he had to answer a fire call. He drove up with all of his fire fighter friends in the big red fire truck and found out that his own two sons had been the fire bugs that started a grass fire, using magnifying glasses!!..Ha!
Thanks for your visit to my blog……Love Terry
