I see lots of these metal structures with so many of the construction works happening here in Penang recently. Within the next 2-3 months, Penang won’t look the same anymore.
That look is scary but it is all around Vancouver and Victoria too… Isn’t it amazing how technology has advanced and how we seem to need cranes like that to build..
i really love how you ably convert everyday, mundane stuff into vistas that warrant a second look =] well-done =] and i’m sure we’re still bound to see more of these behemoths as we build higher and higher into the heavens…
Great photo. Nice choice for metal. Different. My mind would not have immediately jumped to this scene but looking at it, it’s a perfect choice for The Hunt.
Very nice — and the gray just gives a more metallic theme as even I know that gold, silver, bronze, etc. are also metals, somehow, when I think of metal, I tend to think of steel and gray! 🙂
Super shot of a sign of the times. This was very thoughtfully composed. I had no idea what to do with this week’s theme, so I’m afraid I did stretch it a bit:
Nice take on the metal theme. Are those construction cranes, or are they the kind of thing you see at ship and rail yards for moving cargo? They seem rather close together.
This is a great photograph, and I love that it’s in black and white. There are a lot of ways to explore this image because of the way you’ve captured it. Nice job with the theme!
So much construction going on all over Singapore. Just walking along Orchard Road, you could hear the bang bang here and bang bang there…lol. Hopefully when completed, we have more choices for good shopping in Orchard Road.

Wonderful composition!!!
Mine’s posted, hope you can stop by to view.
I love how intricate the crane’s structure is and how the black and white format creates an eerie atmosphere to the photo.

Great choice! Love all the lines and angles…
What an interesting tangle of metal!
