These look they might have been bronze already — without any toning. Interesting mix of old and new here. Not to mention it looks like a real lighting challenge.

I love the spirit of this photo. When I was in Shanghai, I took a picture at a temple that evoked similar feelings. Your photo brought it all back to me very powerfully. Here’s the link:

Found you via Mojo’s blog…nice to meet another award-winner. I can see why he chose you, as your work is absolutely breathtaking. I look forward to seeing more of it.

    All the best,

    Carmi

I have to tell you, I am always amazed by your photography. You are almost always technically perfect, and the shadows and light are always captured to their full advantage. Your color photographs are also wonderful, always bright and vibrant and remarkably sharp in focus. It’s always a pleasure to visit here.

By the way, congratulations on being chosen as one of Mojo’s Diamond in the Rockpile blogs for 2008. I know I feel honored to be part of such a talented group.

The sepia gives it a very serene look as opposed to what I imagine as the original shiny bronze. Seems more reverent.
    Very nice Elaine.

    Congrats on being a winner!
